Green Energy Soup...

Yesterday was one of those days when I just could not get enough food. I wasn't mindlessly eating to satiate some hidden agenda, I was truly hungry, stomach growling and all that. It didn't help that we were low on groceries either. I ended up making a yummy soup from the remaining contents of the fridge. Broccoli, sweet onion, celery, garlic, soaked almonds, water, pink salt and cumin seeds. I blended until slightly warm and it hit the spot. I know I'm sensitive to salt and I had a bit of a slight panicky feeling after I ate the soup, but now I'm thinking it may have been a bit too much raw garlic. My throat felt a bit funny too, like it wanted to close. The other reaction was a TON of energy. So much so that I had to lace up my Nikes and run until I was tired. I haven't felt like that since my 20's when I'd come home and have to run or play tennis just to release the energy, otherwise it became destructive. Not bad for almost 50.
