Freckle Farm...

I just re-read my post from May, my last post since today and wanted to give a little up-date. I'm happy to say that George AKA Freckle Farm is alive and well, living in Arizona. I prayed and asked God for a better alternative. And of course He answered my prayers. George went to live with a Saint Bernard rescuer who takes on the lost causes, the Saints that are abandoned, have been abused, may or may not be able to be re-homed. Although I miss him terribly, my hand and heart have healed and we've learned to love a new Freckle Farm, named Digby. Pictures to come soon, I promise. He's silly as they come, mostly because his ears were sewn back on after being attacked by two pit-bulls in the desert and rescued by two bystanders. From the re-attachment, the muscles in his ears do silly things!! They flex up and down and his mannerisms although very different from George are just as endearing. Driving George to Arizona was one of the most difficult things our family has had to do, and driving away, while he looked through the gate was the worst. BUT...we were gifted with Digby while there. And although I had no intentions of getting another dog right away, she insisted on bringing him out just to meet him. He was so adorable, smaller than average, weighing in at only 100 lbs. I asked him if he wanted to come home with us and with that he immediatedly hopped into our station wagon and smiled at us as if to say, "let's go mom". How could we not bring him home? He's been a good fit for us and he's helped us heal and trust again. Welcome Digby and thank you for knowing we needed you, even though we thought we didn't.
